Hillary Uzomba Biography

Hillary Uzomba is a contemporary artist living and working in Nigeria,
whose works explore the relationship between self and space, memory
and how they affect contemporary experiences, meaning-making, and pop
culture. He seeks to balance the duality between art and life using
different varieties of medium to tell everyday stories. He is in his
6th year of fulltime artistic practice. He has participated in many
group shows and art workshops. In April of 2017, he had a solo show in
collaboration with the Alliance France cultural institute headquarters
in Lagos, at the Moore-House gallery Ikoyi, with a body of work about
finding identities and balancing Dualities. He was certified by the US
Embassy in Nigeria in 2019 as a ‘Creative Upcyler’ in collaboration
with the IICD centre Abuja, for his works that promote environmental
protection and climate action.  His works are in many private
collections in the UK and Nigeria.
